A ship catches fire at Bosaaso harbor in Somalia

Reports have that a ship caught fire at Bosaaso harbor shortly after docking there.
A group of Samaritans pulled the ship towards the sea in order to bring the fire under control.

And up to now there is no clear explanation to what started the fire.

 

Punt land’s minister of transport on water confirmed to Risaala that a ship docked on Bosaaso harbor caught fire soon after docking.

 

The minister also mentioned that the fire might have started due to mechanical problems.

 

Elsewhere, there are other explanations been given as to what started the fire?

 

The minister further explained that the ship had been on fire for the last 40 minutes but the rescue team is already working on bringing the fire under control.
